Depending on the aircraft and programme, capacity may involve aircraft owned or managed by ACMI Lease, aircraft dry-leased to a partner AOC holder, aircraft that we have helped an operating partner acquire or finance, capacity provided through an established AOC partnership, or suitable aircraft sourced from the wider operator market.
Where ACMI Lease manages an aircraft, the scope of our role is defined by the relevant aircraft management and leasing agreements. For each ACMI programme, the nominated AOC holder operates the aircraft and remains responsible for the regulatory and operational functions assigned to the operating carrier.

What Does an A319 ACMI Lease Include?
ACMI stands for Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance and Insurance. Under a typical A319 ACMI or wet lease arrangement, the supplying AOC holder provides:
- Aircraft: The contracted Airbus A319 in the agreed configuration and technical condition.
- Crew: Qualified flight and cabin crew, subject to the contract and applicable regulations.
- Maintenance: The technical support and maintenance required to keep the aircraft serviceable and airworthy.
- Insurance: Aircraft and operational insurance that meets the agreed contractual requirements.
Under a standard wet lease, the supplying AOC holder provides the aircraft and crew and operates the flights under its own Air Operator Certificate. The lessee may market the service under its own brand and may use its own airline designator and flight number, subject to the approved arrangement and applicable regulations.
The flight number does not determine which AOC governs the operation. For example, an aircraft operated by one of our partner AOC holders may fly using the customer airline’s flight number while the partner remains the legally identified operating carrier. The approved agreement defines the parties’ remaining commercial and operational responsibilities.
The lessee commonly pays for fuel, airport and navigation charges, ground handling, catering and other operating expenses identified in the contract. However, the precise allocation of responsibilities must always be defined in the agreement.

Airbus A319-100, A319LR and ACJ319
The specifications on this page primarily describe the standard passenger Airbus A319-100. The A319LR may include auxiliary fuel tanks and other modifications intended to support longer-range operations. Its payload, baggage capacity and operational range depend on the number of installed tanks and the aircraft’s approved configuration.
The ACJ319 is a corporate version with a customised cabin and substantially fewer passengers than a commercial airline layout. Therefore, an ACJ319 should not be presented as equivalent to a standard passenger A319-100. Any requirement for an A319LR or ACJ319 must be assessed using the technical and cabin documentation for the individual aircraft.
