What is an ACMI lease?
The operator supplies the aircraft, crew, maintenance and insurance. You supply everything else — fuel, handling, landing, parking, navigation and overflight charges — and the flight goes out under your flight number and your commercial control.
It is the fastest way to add capacity without buying or dry-leasing an airframe: cover a delayed delivery, an AOG, a hajj or peak season, a new route you are still proving, or a one-off cargo programme. Terms typically run from one month to several years.
